About

Our Vision

Farm Loop Coffee is a women-owned and operated small-batch specialty coffee roaster in Palmer, Alaska. We started as a grassroots venture to share the specialty coffee love and are inspired by what brings many people together for connection and community – a warm cup of coffee. Farm Loop Coffee is for those who want to indulge in curated, high-quality beans roasted with care.

We do this to make specialty coffee approachable and educational while staying authentic.

How we got here…

Hi Everyone, I’m Zoe! I came up to Alaska in 2016 to work on Prince of Wales Island out of Craig. After working as a Soil Scientist for a couple summers there, I followed my need for more winter up to Southcentral Alaska where I continued to work with soils in the Copper River Basin and around the state.

Fast forward to winter of 2021 and I was desperate for more engagement and interaction with humans, and more creativity with a job. I quit my job and Farm Loop Coffee was born in late 2021. Quickly, I realized how much I needed work like this and how much interest there was in a small-batch specialty coffee roaster in Palmer.

Growing up in Oregon, I saw many specialty coffee roasters and shops pop up and I got to experience and taste a lot of them. My sister and brother-in-law definitely facilitated my love for specialty coffee, as it was always a huge part of any visit. I started home-roasting with them some years back and became more interested in roasting my own coffee. Now here I am today, so stoked on the support Farm Loop Coffee has gotten and looking forward to what’s in store.

When I’m not working on Farm Loop Coffee, I might be trail running around town or skiing in Hatcher. More likely, I’ll be doing either of those things with my two dogs, Chloe (Aussie) and Nootka (Alaskan Husky), and my partner Keegan. We love Palmer and have felt like we have finally found the place we want to call home.

A Kind Review

“Farm Loop Coffee is our favorite coffee. We’ve been through all the roasts. It’s tough to choose a favorite, but our top two would be their Ethiopia and Sumatra. A while back, Zoe had a special, micro batch Sumatra Kerinci that was the BEST coffee I’ve ever had. The flavor profile was amazing with hints of lime. All of her coffees are incredible and I love that Zoe offers so much information about her products including brewing tips, flavor profiles, the roasting process, and sourcing.”
